Zhixin & Partners Law Firm Ltd. has been successfully collaborating for many years with leading universities, research institutes, industry leaders, and renowned medical institutions both domestically and internationally. Long-standing partnerships have been established with, among others, Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd. Annually, we organize specialized training sessions and lectures for these partners and provide dedicated contact persons for case monitoring.
Tongji University is a prestigious and comprehensive university located in Shanghai, China, and is one of the former key universities under the "985" and "211" projects. This year, we established a practice-integrated training base for master's students in collaboration with the German Department of Tongji University.
In July 2022, German MTI (Master of Translation and Interpreting) students from Tongji University completed a four-week online internship with us. At the conclusion of the internship, participants presented their results and experiences on July 29. During the presentations, the students shared their practical insights, and our leader provided valuable feedback and suggestions, deepening the students' understanding of the importance of the internship. Professor Huiping Wu, the head of the German Department at Tongji University, praised the organization and structure of the internship.
Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) is located in Chongqing, a direct-administered municipality in China, and is one of the first four universities in the country to specialize in foreign languages. For several years, our company has been an official translation internship base for SISU's German Department. We regularly offer students opportunities to gain practical experience in the field of translation.
To deepen the understanding of German Department students about the working world and broaden their perspectives, a group of bachelor's students from the German Department, led by Ms. Chuanling Yu, visited our company on the morning of July 5, 2022. They participated in an exchange of experiences about translation internships. During the meeting, colleagues from our translation department introduced SISU students to the work content, workflows, and translation tools used. Afterwards, colleagues and students exchanged methods and experiences in areas such as learning, internships, job interviews, and work.
Since the beginning of the collaboration between SISU's German Department and our company, we have developed a comprehensive and diverse cooperation.
Mr. He Zhixin, founder of our company, regularly delivers lectures and seminars for German studies students at SISU. The topics include internship experience reports, focus areas and practices in technical literature translation, introduction to patent translation, as well as analysis of translation techniques and discussions on patent translation practices. These contents cover the main areas of translation work at Zhixin & Partners Law Firm Ltd., namely localization and translation of patent literature.
Through internships, training, and expert lectures, students acquire extensive theoretical knowledge about translations, including the operation of translation software, translation processes, and translation standards. At the same time, they apply this theoretical knowledge in practice, working with real translation texts, encountering various translation problems, and acquiring different translation techniques through solving these issues.
